As your Acura model comes due for service, you’ll notice minder codes pop up on the dash. Below is a brief explanation of what services are due when you see each of these codes. The Coho service team is happy to assist you in understanding these codes and helping you get the appropriate maintenance. Acura recommends that its vehicles be serviced every 10,000-miles. (Note: The actual scheduled maintenance checks will vary based on vehicle model, model year and mileage. Please give us a call if you have any questions.) A Replace engine oil and oil filter. Replace engine oil drain plug washer. Top up under hood fluids and reset tire pressures. Note: Front wheel drive model uses 0W-20 semi-synthetic motor oil. Every 4,000 to 9,000 miles or up to 12 months
B Road test vehicle. Replace engine oil and oil filter. Replace engine oil drain plug washer. Inspect all fluid levels and condition of fluids. Check front and rear brake pads, rotors and brake calipers. Check parking brake adjustment. Inspect tie rod ends, steering gearbox and gearbox boots. Inspect suspension components. Inspect drive shaft boots. Inspect brake hoses and lines including VSA lines. Inspect exhaust system. Inspect fuel lines and connections. Note: Front wheel drive model uses 0W-20 semi-synthetic motor oil. Every 7,500 to 20,000 miles
1 Rotate tires, check and set tire pressures and hand torque all lug nuts. Every 4,000 to 9,000 miles
2 Replace engine air filter, replace cabin pollen filter and inspect drive belt Every 15,000 to 30,000 miles
3 Replace transmission fluid (front wheel drive model) Replace transmission fluid and transfer fluid (all wheel drive model) Every 30,000 to 60,000 miles
4 Replace timing belt and spark plugs. Inspect condition of drive belt (add $44.00 to replace drive belt). Inspect water pump for leakage (add $294.95 to replace water pump and perform coolant service). Inspect timing belt auto tensioner (add $150.00 to replace timing belt auto tensioner). Note: Valve clearance adjustment is needed at this time only when excessively noisy (add $589.95 to adjust valve clearance and replace valve cover gaskets). Each 7 years and 105,000 miles
5 Replace engine coolant. Every 75,000 to 105,000 miles
6 Replace rear differential fluid. Every 15,000-30,000 miles
Brake Fluid Flush brake system and refill brake fluid. Every 3 Years
Alignment Adjust front and rear toe angles to be within factory specifications Once every 12 months or 12,000 miles
